As the son of an elected member village panchayat, Subodh very quickly learnt that people who don’t have any knowledge about law are more vulnerable to discrimination and dominance in the society. Various incidents of caste based discrimination both in his village as well as while pursuing his degree in pharmacy, pushed Subodh to fight the system and pursue law. Subodh played a major role in a people’s movement on government employee wages in Gujarat. Although the case is pending in the Supreme Court, the movement resulted in a temporary relief of 63 to 125% hike in the salaries of many employees.
