Vijaykumar Ramrao Dhoke Vs. State of Maharashtra & ors. Working with Pune Municipal Corporation as a music teacher.He applied for promotion to Supervisor post.However the Municipal corporation denied his promotion due to his blindness.His name was removed from the Seniority List. DRI Mumbai filed a writ petition 3210 of 2007 against the discrimination of Vijaykumar Dhoke.They also demanded promotion and Seniority benefits.On his petition, Commisioner of Disability,Maharashtra and Bombay High court had given a judgement in his favour saying that Vijaykumar Dhoke should get time-bound and regular promotion along with the senior benefits from the date of joining.
