Ratnabali Ray vs State of West Bengal and others WP No. 15158 of 2013; PIL was filed to fix state accountability and for improving health services in mental health institutions due to negligence of authorities when a woman with a mental illness delivered a child unsupervised and in unhygienic conditions after an undetected pregnancy and who was subjected to abuse and made to clean the place of delivery in complete violation of her reproductive and maternal rights.
