Pushpa Devi's struggle to seek justice for her husband's murder continues

The criminal writ petition was filed by Pushpa Devi was on behalf of her husband, Randhir Mishra who was brutally assaulted by two accused persons on the subject matter of business rivalry and transaction of money. He was admitted to Rajendra Institute of medical Sciences, Ranchi where he succumbed to his injuries on 28.07.2013. An FIR was lodged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code against the two accused.

One of the named accused persons namely Amitesh Jha had been remanded to Judicial Custody keeping investigation pending against other accused persons. However, there was no progress made in the investigation.

The petitioner through the writ petition has prayed for directing the respondent authorities to carry out proper investigation in the said matter. The counter affidavit filed by the State stated that every step that every step have been taken to ascertain their involvement in the case. However, their involvement has not been found. Under such circumstances, the Investigating Officer has been directed to submit final form in favor of them as lack of evidence.

As of now, the writ petition is pending and listing is awaited.
