[caption id="attachment_12928" align="alignnone" width="125"] Kishore Narayan [/caption] Kishore started his legal studies as a second career choice. Today, eight years into his legal career, he has worked on over 500 cases, dealing with each case, with the same vigor as his first. The veracity and diversity that a human rights lawyers experience, during his practice is what attracts Kishore to the career the most. One of the most challenging cases that Kishore was behind was the case of two journalists working in Bastar, reporting cases of fake encounters, who were framed in false cases. Kishore successfully managed to get bail for them from High Court and then the Supreme Court despite multiple rejections in the lower courts. Kishore works closely with marginalized communities of Chhattisgarh who have been subject to historic injustice and lack access to legal aid. In another case, he successfully managed to get an order from the High Court staying the demolition of the slum in the Bilaspur Railway Area until the Central Government frames a policy of rehabilitation for the inhabitants. Experiences of meeting people from diverse backgrounds, interacting with them and learning of their stories keeps him motivated to continue to work towards ensuring access to justice for all.
