Bihar | Maharashtra Barun litigates cases as a part of the Criminal Justice Initiative and Labour rights initiative. Barun was part of the team of lawyers posted at Hyderabad Central University, providing legal aid to students who being prevented from associating and assembling to protest the death of a scholar due to caste discrimination on the campus. Barun moved to the Nagpur unit where he along with Soni Sori and Lingaram Kodopi, as a fact finding team investigated into the extra judicial killings of 20 persons in Bastar, Dantewada and Jagdalpur, Chattisgarh. Barun also worked with Nihal on a Death Penalty case, which resulted in the acquittal of the convict.
