Mumbai A law graduate from the University of Calcutta, Debopriya worked as a volunteer lawyer with SLIC’s Kolkata office, after a previous stint there as a law intern in 2010. Debopriya practiced at the Calcutta High Court for an year and a half, after which, she moved to Mumbai to work with the Mumbai unit of SLIC. Debapriya worked on issues pertaining to the right of women and particularly of its interface with the criminal justice system.
