Based in Assam, Hemprabha completed her LL.B. Hons in Business Law in 2017 and her  LL.M. Hons. Constitution Law Gauhati University in 2019. Her dissertation was on “An analytical study on Illegal Immigrants and the Role of Foreigners’ Tribunal”. She joined SLIC Guwahati  Unit, as a full time volunteer and then as full time lawyer. She stated that the intent with which she joined SLIC was to learn social advocacy, and reach out to provide support to a greater number of people. She mostly works on the issues relating to citizenship rights.
