Hetvi Patel

Hetvi completed her B.A. LLB (Hons) from  Nirma University in Constitutional Law, in 2017 and LLM (Human Rights Law in 2019 from School of Law, Queens Marry University, London. She has been involved in cases of women’s rights, minority rights, Housing rights and Labour rights among others.

Her interest in human rights law began while doing different internships at various courts and NGO’s. During her law school she witnessed issues people face due to being marginalized, especially women who were being abused and had no recourse to justice. Whose rights were violated because of lack of proper legal help and awareness about their rights. She realized that an enforcement of basic rights of marginalized and minority communities can only be enforced in court of law leading her to take up human rights litigation with SLIC at the beginning of her career.
