Maharashtra Zaman litigates at the Bombay High Court and the western bench of the National Green Tribunal in Pune. While Zaman works on a broad spectrum of cases, he is particularly passionate about the Environmental Justice Initiative, which constitutes the bulk of his work. He has obtained several positive orders in his fight for environmental justice. For instance, in the 'Ulhas River ' pollution case, he successfully argued for the imposition of penalties for the river’s cleanup. This case was escalated to the Supreme Court, where the bench recently directed the Maharashtra Chief Secretary to disburse 100 crore rupees for the cause.
