Rajasthan High Court, on September 25th, 2018, issued notice to the state government and CBI in case of sexual assault and murder of 15-year-old a minor girl in Dholpur district, Rajasthan. According to the family, on July 8th, 2018, the 15 year old girl was sexually assaulted and later murdered by the son (and his friends) of the Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Council Ayub Khan. When the family tried to file an FIR, not only did the police refuse to register the family's complaint (admitting it after 7 days following protest from civil society groups), they also tried to threaten the family to withdraw their case aiding the accused under political pressure.
