India is a secular country and there is no Uniform Civil Code even though there is uniformity in criminal and other laws. Thus different religions confer varying rights on the women in respect of personal matters like the marriage, divorce, succession and maintenance, etc. This Module tries to explain the rights of Hindu, Muslim and Christian women and their position with regard to their personal matters.
