Delhi High Court directed for the rescue of trafficked girl from Assam.

The victim along with her friend went to attend the ‘naukhuwa’ festival, where she was lured and trafficked to Delhi. All her friends came back but the victim did not return home. Thereafter, the victim somehow contacted one of her friends and informed her that she was forcefully taken to Delhi and was forced to work without any wages. Later the victim’s uncle lodge an F.I.R at Ginjia police station, Assam. Due to the poor economic status the victim's parents approached SLIC for help.
Writ of Habeas Corpus was filed before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, where the court directed the Crime Branch of Delhi Police to expeditious carried out the investigation to trace the victim.
The victim was traced by the Crime Branch Delhi Police within a week and was produced before the court on 03.09.2020.
Now the victim have reached her home safely as per the direction of the Hon’ble Court.
