Afreen Bano Khan

Mumbai afreen@slic.org.in The search to essentially bring change in the society, grounded in her personal experiences, landed Afreen in the classrooms of Aligarh Muslim University pursuing her degree in law. Yakub Memon's death sentence and the Shreya Singhal Case that struck off 66A of the IT Act; are the historic cases that she is obsessed with. Today as a lawyer, practicing in the courts of Mumbai city, Afreen finds this profession full of ironies; bounded by written rules yet coloured in spontaneity.
